There are some things we should talk about.
Howdy. Hope this finds you doing well, wherever and whenever this lands with you.
The last post I wrote kicked up some good conversations about death and dying, conversations I think are pretty healthy to have. The topic of death can be one that we want to avoid, for obvious reasons, but I think that's a mistake. What could it look like to have those conversations in way that is life-giving?
A while back, I read My Bright Abyss by Christian Wiman, and it hit me in all the right ways, including how he approaches the topics of death and dying. So I'm sharing along links to a podcast where I include some of his writing and some thoughts it has raised for me. (The podcast has been an on-again-off-again sorta project - for now it feels like a good place to do some thinking out loud.)
As always, I only share all this stuff in the event it stirs up a thought or conversation that has some value for you. And shoot me an email anytime with thoughts it raises - I'm at matt@justsitwithit.com .
Take care!
Matt
